WOMEN’S CRICKET: Kavisha Dilhari took 4-13 and fellow off-spinner Inoshi Priyadarshini bagged 3-11 as Scotland were bowled out for 94 and suffered a thumping 10-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka at the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers. Netherlands eased past Vanuatu by 100 runs, Zimbabwe beat the UAE by eight wickets and the USA lost by the same margin to Uganda. Ireland play Zimbabwe and Scotland take on the USA in Abu Dhabi today.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Robert Andrich scored in the sixth minute of added time as Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen came from behind to draw 2-2 with third-placed Stuttgart. With three games to go Leverkusen are on track to become the first team to remain unbeaten throughout a Bundesliga season. Elsewhere in Germany Harry Kane scored twice, taking his season’s tally to 42 goals, as second-placed Bayern Munich beat Frankfurt 2-1.

MEN’S RUGBY UNION: Glasgow romped to a 40-9 bonus-point win at bottom of the table Zebre and moved top of the United Rugby Championship after reigning champions Leinster were stuffed 42-12 by the Stormers in Cape Town. Munster won 33-13 at Johannesburg’s Lions, Connacht edged to a 34-27 against the Dragons, the Bulls thrashed Ospreys 61-24 and Edinburgh boosted their play-off hopes with a 24-7 win in Cardiff on Saturday.

MEN’S CRICKET: Shaheen Afridi claimed 4-30 on his return to the team as Pakistan beat New Zealand by nine runs in Lahore to tie their five-match Twenty20 series 2-2. Captain Babar Azam top-scored with 69 from 44 balls as Pakistan had set the Kiwis 179 to win. Opener Tim Seifert hit 52 and Josh Clarkson clubbed a rapid unbeaten 38 but New Zealand fell short after losing eight wickets for 72 runs.
