Scottish Labour must publish all correspondence on Mandelson links, SNP demands
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar giving a speech at Caledonian University in Glasgow, September 1, 2025

SCOTTISH Labour must publish all correspondence on its links to Peter Mandelson and twice-convicted paedophile Sean Morton, the SNP demanded today.

The call comes as the political Establishment addressed further details about long-standing, well-documented links between Mandelson and his billionaire paedophile chum Jeffrey Epstein.

Neither links to a convicted sex offender, nor decades of allegations of favours granted to billionaires as a minister and EU trade commissioner, were enough to stop PM Sir Keir Starmer appointing him Britain’s ambassador to Washington.

The SNP has published its own dossier of publicly available links to the disgraced former peer, as allegations surface that, through prime ministerial aide Morgan McSweeney, Mandelson vetted Labour parliamentary candidates for the 2024 election.

Links include a campaign fundraiser organised by future Scottish Labour MPs Gregor Pynton and Mr McSweeney’s partner Imogen Walker, with Mandelson as guest of honour and Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar’s tweet from Washington last year declaring: “It was great to catch up with my old friend.”

SNP MP Kirsty Blackman called for the disclosure of links not only with Mandelson, but to Morton, whose friendship with Pam Duncan-Glancy cost her a place on Scottish Labour’s Holyrood front bench.

She said: “There is clear evidence that Mr Sarwar and his Scottish Labour Party MPs maintained their friendship with Mandelson despite his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein being a matter of public record for many years.

“Sarwar must publish the Scottish Labour Party files on Mandelson and Morton, including his own personal communications and all party correspondence and documentation relating to them.

“Anas Sarwar has shown appalling judgement in cosying up to Mandelson and failing to take action on Morton — he must now come clean.”

Scottish Labour was contacted for comment.
