MEN’S CRICKET: Ireland begin a three match one-day series against Zimbabwe in Harare tomorrow fresh from sealing a 2-1 victory in their Twenty20 series. Chasing 140 in the decider Ireland slipped to 37-4 before Harry Tector’s unbeaten 54 and George Dockrell’s rapid 49 not out sealed a six wicket win. Ireland have now moved above Zimbabwe in the Twenty20 rankings but are still two places below them in the 50 over format.

HOCKEY: Britain’s women finished with just one point from the first round of FIH Pro-League matches in Argentina following another heavy defeat, 5-1 at the hands of current World Champions the Netherlands. Britain’s men also came off worst in their three team mini tournament after Joep Troost’s 60th minute strike sealed a 2-1 defeat to the Dutch, who finished top of the group ahead of Argentina.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: High-flying London Lions warmed up for this evening’s EuroCup Group A fixture against struggling Hamburg at the Copper Box Arena with a 91-84 win over Plymouth and 100-62 thumping of Leicester in the BBL at the weekend. Tomorrow night’s other Group A fixtures pit Ukraine’s BC Prometey against Besiktas and bottom club Ljubljana, who have yet to win a game, in Spain to face Badalona.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Cardiff take a 4-3 advantage into tomorrow evening’s Challenge Cup quarter final second leg against Glasgow whilst Fife travel to Guildford looking to claw back a 3-1 deficit. Elsewhere tomorrow night Coventry host cup holders Belfast for a first leg tie after beating them 3-2 in overtime in Saturday’s Elite League fixture. Belfast forward Ben Lake has been suspended for two games after “spearing” an opponent during the match.
