Jumps’ season comes to a close at Sandown tomorrow

THE official final day of the jumps’ season has the traditional card at Sandown Park headed by the Bet365 Gold Cup (the old Whitbread, as many of you I am sure still remember it by).

Jumping at speed and the ability to stay the 3m5f are the prerequisites here and, although this is far from being one of the best renewals of recent years, it remains a competitive end of season highlight.

With Clans De Obeaux waiting for the Punchestown Festival, the weights have gone up significantly and Paul Nicholls has been left with the sole entry in the form of the very lightly raced and promising Enrilo.
