⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑ - Winner
⭑⭑⭑⭑ - Solid Claims
⭑⭑⭑ - Each-way chance
⭑⭑ - Running for their dinner
⭑ - Should stay at home

MINELLA TIMES – Convincing winner 12 months ago, but has run flat all season and is appreciably higher in the ways. Others look far better treated. ⭑⭑

DELTA WORK – Former Grade One performer and was undeniably impressive in the Cross Country at Cheltenham. But he only scraped home at the expense of a horse that hates those conditions and will do well to give the weight away here despite his price plunge. ⭑⭑⭑

EASYSLAND – Looked made for this race two years ago, but his form has fallen off a cliff despite being under the care of Jonjo. ⭑

ANY SECOND NOW – Looked unlucky not too finish closer to the winner last year after being stopped in his tracks. Higher in the weights, but put up an eye catching trial last time out. ⭑⭑⭑

RUN WILD FRED – Was made to look slow by Stattler in the NH Chase at Cheltenham, but not enough use was made of his undoubted stamina. Weighted up to his best here, but could well be the best of the Gordon Elliot team. ⭑⭑⭑⭑

LOSTINTRANSLATION – Rated as high as 173 in his prime, but nothing in his recent profile even off a mark of 157 to suggest he can be competitive here. ⭑⭑

BRAHMA BULL – The better ground is hugely in his favour, but has this possibly come a year too late for this classy sort? ⭑⭑

BURROWS SAINT – A weakening fourth last year when seemingly going best of all approaching the second last. Any reason why he should stay better this year after an underwhelming run last time out? ⭑⭑⭑

MOUNT IDA – Run off her feet over two and a half miles last time at Cheltenham, this promises to be her trip and fairly weighted if she can get through the first circuit unscathed. ⭑⭑⭑

LONGHOUSE POET – Very impressive winner of the Thyestes Chase was followed by a flat run in the Boyne Hurdle. However, that was run over two and a half miles on horrible ground and he is best judged on that big handicap chase success. ⭑⭑⭑

FIDDLERONTHEROOF – 5lbs higher than when a staying on second in the Ladbrokes Trophy (not a particularly strong renewal). But ran well behind Fortescue at Ascot in a Listed chase last time out. ⭑⭑

TWO FOR GOLD – You could argue that his best form is shy of three miles and that may well be the case after this year’s National renewal. ⭑⭑⭑

SANTINI – Second in the 2020 Gold Cup and eighth this year in a race which wasn’t run to suit. Is a big of a character, but this stamina test could suit him. Interesting. ⭑⭑⭑

SAMCRO – Top class novice hurdler who has regressed badly as a chaser. ⭑

ESCARIA TEN – Second season novice who was headed close home by Any Second Now in the Bobbyjo Chase and remains open to improvement. ⭑⭑⭑⭑

GOOD BOY BOBBY – I would dismiss his run last time out at Kempton as he is clearly better left handed and promises to be suited by this test. ⭑⭑⭑

LORD DU MESNIL – Pulled up last year after racing prominently, trainer blaming the good to soft ground. It is unlikely to be any slower this year. ⭑⭑

COKO BEACH – Well held by several of his fellow Irish raiders from three races this season. ⭑

DE RASHER COUNTY – Former winner of the Hennessy, but off injured for a long time and no promise since his comeback. ⭑⭑

KILDISART – Another with plenty of time on the sidelines and came back with a staying on second over two and a half miles. This extra yardage is a question mark. ⭑⭑⭑

DISCORAMA – Ran well until the turn for home last year when a rushed preparation began to tell. Great prep this year and if there is some give in the ground he has an outstanding chance. ⭑⭑⭑⭑

TOP VILLE BEN – Good class handicapper who has excelled over hurdles this year and fell in the Becher Chase here in December. ⭑⭑

ENJOY D’ALLEN – Unexposed young chaser that jumps well and stays well and has more to offer off his current mark.  ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑

ANIBALE FLY – form figures of 45P in the race but a shadow of his former self. ⭑⭑

DINGO DOLLAR – Second in a Scottish National and third in an Eider Chase, weakening close home each time so the four and a quarter miles is a problem. ⭑⭑⭑

FREEWHEELIN DYLAN – winner of the Irish National off a mark of 137, 10lbs higher here abd needs the ground to dry out, the quicker the better. ⭑⭑

CLASS CONTI – Tailed off in last year’s National and has performed well below par this season. ⭑

NOBLE YEATS – Fair novice and well weighted on his best form, but loads to find with fellow Irish runners on several lines of form. ⭑⭑

MIGHTY THUNDER – Winner of the Scottish National off 144 last year (runs here off 147) has had wind surgery after two pulled up efforts so needs to bounce back. ⭑⭑

CLOTH CAP – Pulled up last year after leading for most of the way. Wind operation may help but he needs the sun to shine. ⭑⭑⭑

SNOW LEOPARDESS – Game winner of the Becher Chase in December, but looked out on her feet that day so stamina question marks. ⭑⭑⭑

AGUSTA GOLD – Stays really well, but jumping leaves plenty to be desired. ⭑

SCHOOL BOY HOURS – Has been progressive in staying handicap chases and only a stumble on landing ruined his run at Cheltenham. Each-way chance off his light weight. ⭑⭑⭑

DEISE ABA – Very strong stayer that has his own mind about the game and best runs have come at Sandown. A clear round could see him outrun his price. ⭑⭑⭑⭑

BLAKLION – Grand teenager who has handled these fences in the past, but has patently failed to stay in this race before. ⭑⭑

POKER PARTY – None stayer and not good enough. ⭑

DEATH DUTY – Won Grand National Trial at Punchestown before a one paced effort in the Ultima at Cheltenham, but should enjoy the extra yardage here. ⭑⭑⭑⭑

DOMAINE DE L’ISLE – late gains into fourth when behind Snow Leopardess last year, but not the most consistent. Promises to stay. ⭑⭑

ECLAIR SURF – Game out in front when he had his own way in the Warwick Classic, but needs a lot more here off a 10lbs higher mark. ⭑⭑

FORTESCUE – Impressive winner of a Listed event at Ascot and if there is plenty of dig in the ground and with no weight his back, he could play a part. ⭑⭑⭑
