RMT calls for urgent summit with Sturgeon over pay at Scotrail
THE RMT has demanded an urgent summit with Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to discuss the rail union’s long-running battle for pay justice for Scotrail workers.
The call came as conductors and ticket examiners continued strike action yesterday.
Recent failed talks with Transport Minister Graeme Dey showed that the Scottish government “continues to refuse to treat rail workers equally with other public-sector workers and instead is treating these essential workers with contempt,” the RMT said.
