Over half private renters have seen rents rise this year

MORE than half of private renters have seen their rent go up this year, a new survey suggests. 

Housing rights campaigners are calling on the government to freeze rents in order to protect tenants from rising payments amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Generation Rent’s survey of more than 1,017 private renters published yesterday found that anxiety over paying rent has increased.
