RMT secured a pay rise for Mass Transit Rail (MTR) workers on the Elizabeth line, the rail union announced today, following intensive negotiations.

The new agreement will deliver a range of improvements for workers across pay grades, and is effective from April 1 this year, to March 31 next year.

The deal includes a one year above-inflation pay award that amounts to 4.5 per cent, a salary boost for low paid workers and a night shift allowance increase.
