Just stop Oil activists block London traffic as government commits to new coal mine

CLIMATE activists stopped more traffic in central London today to demand the government halts new oil and gas licences and reverses this week’s decision on a new coal mine.
Just Stop Oil supporters wearing hi-vis vests walked onto Whitechapel Road, East London and proceeded to march slowly, causing delays to rush hour traffic.
Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove announced on Wednesday that an estimated £165 million will be invested into Britain’s first new coal mine for three decades in Whitehaven, Cumbria, despite objections internationally.
