Sister of man who died after police officers restrained him calls on Scots to support the family’s fight for justice

THE sister of a man who died after being restrained by five officers called on Scots to support the family’s fight for justice at an anti-racism rally at the weekend.
Sheku Bayoh, 31, died in handcuffs and sustained more than 20 injuries after police were called to reports of a man acting erratically with a knife in Kirkcaldy, Fife on May 3 2015.
No blade was found at the scene. An ongoing public inquiry into his death, which entered the second stage earlier this month, is looking at whether racism was a factor in the way officers handled the incident.
