GB women’s gymnastics team head coach leaves before Olympics
DAVID KENWRIGHT left his role as head coach of Great Britain’s women’s gymnastics team today — less than 100 days before the start of the Paris Olympics.
Kenwright’s departure, after seven years in the post, also comes on the eve of the start of the women’s European Gymnastics Championships in Rimini, Italy.
Under Kenwright’s charge, the women’s team enjoyed their most successful period in history, including a first women’s Olympic team medal in 93 years in Tokyo in 2021.
