Flamingo Land must accept defeat on Loch Lomond, say Scottish Greens
FLAMINGO Land must accept defeat on its controversial plans for a resort on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Scottish Greens said yesterday.
The Yorkshire-based company has twice had its proposals — including luxury lodges, two hotels, a waterpark, 370 parking spaces and a monorail — rebuffed, most recently by the board of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in September.
But as the December 16 deadline approaches to appeal to Scottish ministers, Scottish Green MSP Ross Greer has urged the company to heed the views of the 155,000 objectors and accept the decision.
