JEREMY CORBYN will announce Labour’s plans for modern, worker-led public ownership today and recommit the party to renationalising Royal Mail.
Speaking at the conference of communication workers’ union the CWU, the Labour leader will declare the 20th century model of top-down nationalisation to be “history.”
He will also announce proposals to set up a post bank under Post Office ownership, following the examples of France, Italy and New Zealand.
