Union tells government: call a General Election
UNISON general secretary Dave Prentis has told the government to call a general election so that “the people, not the out-of-touch elite” can improve Britain’s fortunes.
Mr Prentis told the union’s annual conference in Liverpool that outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May must call a general election to end the Brexit deadlock.
Mr Prentis took a shot at Ms May who he branded a “failure” and said she had “achieved nothing in office.”
