Teens arrested over ‘racist attack on Chinese people’

TWO teenage girls have been arrested for an alleged racist attack on a group of Chinese people – the latest in a string of coronavirus-related assaults.

The girls – aged 14 and 15 – are accused of attacking four young adults as they were walking down a road in central Southampton on March 17.

The incident is believed to have been racially aggravated and linked to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Hampshire Constabulary.
