Scottish Greens to boycott parliament as Holyrood staff strike over cuts to pay
Green Party co-leader Lorna Slater

THE SCOTTISH GREEN PARTY is set to boycott parliamentary business on Wednesday when staff at Holyrood strike over cuts to take-home pay.

Members of Civil Service union PCS are joining a national day of industrial action in Britain, with teachers, lecturers and train drivers also downing tools.

The walkout means Holyrood will be closed to the public, though chamber and committee meetings are still expected to go ahead.
