JUST STOP OIL activists covered the Madame Tussauds waxwork model of King Charles III with chocolate cake today to highlight Tory government plans to grant new fossil fuel drilling licences.

Eilidh McFadden and Tom Johnson stepped over a rope barrier at the world-famous central London tourist attraction just after 10.30am to carry out the latest in a series of dramatic protests.

In recent weeks, the environmental campaign group has blocked roads and thrown soup at the glass covering Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting in the capital’s National Gallery.
