All-female group of climate activists blockade Trident nuclear submarine base at Faslane

AN ALL-FEMALE group of activists from Extinction Rebellion Scotland blockaded the Trident nuclear submarine base at Faslane today as part of a peace protest.

The campaigners attached themselves to giant plant pots alongside peace activists from Trident Ploughshares at the north gate of the base, which is on the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute.

The group placed three planters containing plants and flowers and painted with the words “safe,” “green” and “future” on the road in the morning.
