Uruguay to discuss Mercosur suspension with Venezuela

URUGUAYAN President Tabare Vazquez agreed on Sunday to meet Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro over Caracas’s suspension from regional trade bloc Mercosur.

Mr Vazquez, speaking from Vienna on a tour of European nations, suggested the suspension could be reversed.

“In politics and diplomacy nothing is irreversible, everything can change,” he said.
