Van Gaal confirms ‘it’s over’
Louis van Gaal left Manchester United’s hotel yesterday morning and told reporters that his time as manager is over.
Van Gaal had led the Reds to a 2-1 extra time victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday but within minutes, news had leaked of his impending sacking with Jose Mourinho set to take over.
When asked by a Sky Sports News reporter if he would stop to speak yesterday morning, Van Gaal refused and said as he walked away: “It’s over.”
