Workers put up ‘Steel Not for Sale’ signs up in Newport
WORKERS in Newport erected Steel Not For Sale signs today as their campaign to save the industry intensifies.
Steelworkers’ union Unite erected over 100 estate agent-style boards in front gardens across Liswerry, Newport, over job cuts at the Llanwern steelworks.
The signs showed the strength of the town’s opposition to the plans put forward by Tata and the British government.
