It is a tough day of racing this afternoon, with some big field handicaps across the flat and national hunt scene, but the best-value bet could well be at Haydock Park in the form of outsider VICONTE DU NOYER (nap) in the opening three-mile handicap hurdle at 2.00
The Colin Tizzard-trained nine-year-old is better known for his exploits over fences, winner off 148 18 months ago, but winless since.
He showed a bit more over two-and-a-half miles over fences last time out at the Punchestown Festival, off 143, but now gets the chance to race off 130 over timber!
