WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Holders Barcelona meet eight-time winners Lyon in the Champions League final at Bilbao’s San Mames stadium tonight.

The two clubs have dominated European women’s football for over a decade, with Barcelona making a fourth consecutive final appearance, their fifth in six seasons, and Lyon taking part in their 11th final since 2010.

Tonight’s referee is Rebecca Welch from Washington, Tyne and Wear.

DARTS: Luke Littler beat World Champion Luke Humphries 11-7 to win the Premier League of Darts after the 17-week-long tournament climaxed in London on Thursday evening.

Littler beat Michael Smith 10-5 in his semi-final before Humphries saw off seven-time winner Michael van Gerwen by the same score.

Littler hit a nine-dart finish against Humphries in the final on his way to picking up the £215,000 first prize.

SPEEDWAY: Emil Sayfutdinov bagged 17+1 points as Premiership leaders Ipswich came from behind to draw 45-45 at bottom-club King’s Lynn before snatching the win with a 6-3 super-heat race-off victory. Ipswich also gained the aggregate point.

In Thursday’s other meetings, reigning champions Sheffield brushed aside Leicester 50-40 despite missing their number one Jack Holder and Oxford won the last heat to edge out Belle Vue 46-44.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Ross County take a 2-1 lead into the second leg of their Scottish Premiership play-off final with Raith Rovers at their Victoria Park home tomorrow afternoon.

Ross, who finished second from bottom in the Premiership, led their championship challengers 2-0 with a penalty from Yan Dhanda and header from captain Jack Baldwin before Sam Stanton pulled a goal back for Raith in the 82nd minute of Thursday’s game.

WOMEN’S CRICKET: Sophie Eccleston took 3-26 as England beat Pakistan by 37 runs in the first of their three-match one-day series on Thursday.

Alice Capsey top-scored with 44 in England’s total of 243-9 with Amy Jones weighing in with a brisk 37 from 38 balls but no sixes were hit in either innings on a rain-affected Derby pitch.

The second match is due to start in Taunton tomorrow morning.
