Act on trail hunting, MP urges
Riders and hounds during the Tedworth Hunt's Boxing Day meet in Pewsey, Wiltshire, December 26, 2023

JAIL illegal fox hunters, a Labour MP has urged as he warned that trail hunting is being used as a “smokescreen” for the practice.

Camborne and Redruth MP Perran Moon called for a ban on the practice, which involves hunt organisers laying a trail using animal-based scents for hounds.

“It is time to close this loophole once and for all,” Mr Moon told the Commons.
