Draper feels Indian Wells title is ‘big moment’ as he eyes more success

JACK DRAPER savoured the biggest win of his career after the British number one defeated Holger Rune in straight sets to be crowned Indian Wells champion and win his first ATP Masters 1000 title.

The 23-year-old powered past Dane Rune 6-2 6-2 in a final that lasted just an hour and eight minutes.

The victory has lifted Draper, who beat Carlos Alcaraz in the last four, to a career-high seventh in the world rankings and raised expectations that he can challenge for the game’s biggest titles.
