Park’s first-half goal enough to earn England victory against Spain
England's Jess Park (second right) scores their side's first goal of the game during the UEFA Women's Nations League, League A, Group A3 match at Wembley Stadium, London, February 26, 2025

JESS PARK’S first-half opener was all it took for England to secure a satisfying 1-0 Nations League victory over Spain at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

It was the first time the sides had met since Spain beat the Lionesses in the World Cup final in the summer of 2023.

The visitors started strongly and nearly opened the scoring when Lucia Garcia caught the underside of the crossbar from a corner.
