West Ham 2-0 Leicester
at London Stadium

WEST HAM ran out easy winners of this very pedestrian game with Championship bound Leicester City at the London Stadium.
The visitors were spectators for most of the game as West Ham ground out a deserved victory.
An early shot from Wilfred Ndidi, saved low down by Alphonse Areola, was the sole Leicester effort to report.
West Ham took the leader, after 20 minutes, when an Aaron Cresswell effort was helped on by Mohammed Kudus, coming back for Tomas Soucek, who swept home.
The second effort came when Jarrod Bowen intercepted a James Ward Prowse corner, squeezing home, with the help of a deflection. Bowen, though, should never have been allowed the space to turn by the Leicester defenders.
The main effort of the second half came when Bowen broke away, laying off the ball for substitute Evan Ferguson. But his effort was blocked by defender Jannik Vestergaard.
West Ham head coach Graham Potter felt his players worked really hard to get the points.
“We defended well and the clean sheet was important as well,” said Potter, who conceded it was “not a champagne football sort of night.”
