Netball: Yorkshire Jets to be no more from September

Netball side Yorkshire Jets were forced to wind up yesterday after England Netball’s decision not to award a Superleague franchise to the region.

The Jets made the play-offs in 2015 but failed to win a match last season.

And after being replaced in the English domestic set up for 2017 by three new teams — Scottish Sirens, Severn Stars and Coventry-based Wasps — the club have no option but to cease operations from September.
