Danish FA cancel World Cup qualifier after pay talks fail

THE Danish football association (DBU) has cancelled tomorrow’s Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Sweden after pay negotiations fell apart.

They had previously cancelled a friendly against the Netherlands, but there were hopes that a deal could be reached by yesterday morning. 

It also throws next Tuesday’s qualifier against Croatia into doubt.
