Thousands set to protest over Turkey's invasion
KURDISH solidarity activists in Britain are set to hold what could be among their largest protests this weekend to oppose the Turkish invasion of Rojava.
Large demonstrations to defend the left-wing autonomous region of northern Syria have taken place in Brighton, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield.
Two particularly big demos in London and central Manchester on Wednesday and Thursday saw thousands of people march under the flags of the Labour Party, pro-Jeremy Corbyn campaigning group Momentum and the Kurdistan Workers Party.
