Glasgow council bosses told to improve cleaners' pay offer or face industrial action during Cop26

CLEANERS in Glasgow have called on council bosses for a much-improved pay offer to avoid industrial action during Cop26.

The GMB members voted overwhelmingly for strike action unless a pay dispute with Scotland’s local authority body, Cosla, is resolved. 

Almost 97 per cent of workers said they supported taking the action during next month’s UN climate summit in Glasgow, with world leaders set to descend on the city.
