WOMEN take home £564 less on average per month than men, according to new research which shows progress on tackling the gender pay gap is stalling.

The impact of the cost-of-living crisis, combined with the gender pay gap, is hitting women particularly hard, the Fawcett Society has warned, with women of colour faring worse still. 

The gap has risen by £28 over the last year, from £536 per month in 2021.
