Oxford City Council to monitor pay gap between LGBT and non-LGBT workers

OXFORD City Council is to start monitoring the pay gap between LGBT workers and non-LGBT workers following a campaign by a councillor, it was revealed yesterday.

Green Party Cllr Chris Jarvis made the recommendation to collect data at a scrutiny committee meeting in December.

Presently, the council is required to monitor and report on its gender pay gap under laws that all employees with 250 or more staff are bound to.
