TEACHERS in Wales have rejected a proposed 8 per cent pay increase from the Welsh government.
The NASUWT members voted 69 per cent against the proposal, which had followed an initial government offer of 5 per cent.
NASUWT general secretary Patrick Roach said: “While we acknowledge that the Welsh government finally brought a new offer to the table after many months of requests, the fact remains that the revised offer represents a further real-terms pay cut for teachers.
