Neil Coyle suspended from Commons for five days after ‘drunken and racial abuse’

A DRUNKEN MP who shouted abuse, obscenities and made racial remarks in a Commons bar faces a five-day suspension from Parliament following an investigation by a disciplinary panel.

Bermondsey and Old Southwark MP Neil Coyle is already suspended from the Parliamentary Labour Party, but has asked leader Keir Starmer for readmission.

The suspension had been recommended by Parliament’s Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme.
