Online-only selection process for new Welsh constituency is 'undemocratic,' Labour's Beth Winter charges

A LABOUR MP has criticised her party’s decision to select its parliamentary candidate for the new constituency of Merthyr Tydfil and Upper Cynon through an online process.

The process will include a campaign period of just two weeks and there will be no in-person hustings or union nominations procedure.

Beth Winter had already been reselected to defend her present constituency of Cynon Valley.
