WORLD champion Emma Finucane will wear the rainbow jersey as part of a 23-strong Great Britain squad for the Track Elite European Championships in the Netherlands.

Welsh rider Finucane, who turned 21 in December, claimed the 2023 women’s world individual sprint title in Glasgow during August, beating Germany’s favoured Lea Friedrich in the final.

Finucane will head to Apeldoorn alongside team-mates Sophie Capewell, Katy Marchant and fellow Welshwoman Lowri Thomas, who will make her elite competition debut.
