TWO people died and tens of thousands of homes were without power after Storm Isha battered Britain with gusts of up to 99mph on Sunday and today.

Transport services largely recovered today but some roads remained closed and rail lines blocked, while dozens of schools were shut.

The next storm due to hit Britain, Storm Jocelyn, is expected to bring more strong winds overnight into tomorrow morning.
