Gething grilled over donations to his leadership campaign at FMQs debut
First Minister of Wales Vaughan Gething, March 16, 2024

VAUGHAN GETHING faced a grilling over donations to his leadership campaign as he made his debut at First Minister’s Questions today.

Welsh Conservative leader Andrew Davies wanted to know whether the donations from a convicted businessman totalled £200,000, as has been reported.

The First Minister confirmed that the amount was correct and said that, once his campaign accounts were finalised, any money left over would go to Welsh Labour’s coffers.
