Sunak refuses to recommit to Rwanda flights spring deadline
Sunak Kagame

RISHI SUNAK has refused to recommit to his spring deadline for getting flights off the ground to Rwanda, blaming Labour peers after his widely condemned deportation policy was blocked at the Lords.

The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated his intention to start deportation flights to the east African nation by this spring.

Mr Sunak vowed to “get this done on Monday” by getting parliamentarians to “sit there and vote” until it is done as it remains stuck in deadlock after peers again insisted on changes this week.
