Economy and NHS are main issues worrying votes, survey finds

THE economy is the main issue worrying the electorate, followed by the state of the NHS, according to the latest survey of voters’ concerns.

Inflation, immigration and housing also scored highly in the poll conducted by Ipsos, with concerns about housing rising sharply.

Defence and foreign affairs ranked a lowly ninth among issues, despite both government and Labour committing to huge rises in military spending and putting the country on a “war footing.”
