Nearly two-thirds of Brits think benefits eligibility is confusing, poll reveals
Universal credit

NEARLY two-thirds of adults across Britain think that benefits eligibility is confusing, a poll commissioned by anti-poverty charity Turn2us revealed today.

According to the poll, over three-quarters — 77 per cent — of respondents also believe it would be difficult to claim benefits if their circumstances changed.

Turn2us, which works to simplify access to crucial support, says that the statistics “underline the critical barrier people face at a time when many are struggling to afford the basics.”
