WOMEN’S FOOTBALL: Champions League action resumes tomorrow evening with Chelsea out to protect their 100 per cent record in Group B against a Celtic team that have yet to pick up a point in three games, and Twente Enschede looking to avenge last week’s 7-0 drubbing when they host Real Madrid.

Eight-time tournament winners Lyon, who have yet to concede a goal, face Roma in Group A while winless Galatasary are at Wolfsburg.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: RJ Barrett top-scored with 39 points and Jakob Poeltl weighed in with 30 as the Toronto Raptors climbed off the bottom of the NBA’s Eastern Atlantic conference with a 130-119 victory over Indiana on Tuesday morning.

Washington Wizards, who went down heavily at the New York Knicks 134-106, and the Philadelphia 76ers now hold the joint-worst records in the competition with just two wins from 13 games.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Sudan have qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after drawing 0-0 with Angola, who topped their qualifying group, at Libya’s Benina Martyrs Stadium on Monday evening.

The Sudanese have been forced to play all of their home ties on neutral grounds due to the ongoing civil war.

Four-time winners Ghana crashed out of the competition after a 2-1 loss at home to Niger left them without a win in the group stages.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: Rangers have filled one of their leadership voids by promoting Nils Koppen to the role of technical director.

The 39-year-old has been working as director of football recruitment since joining from PSV Eindhoven at the start of the year. Rangers say the Belgian will continue to oversee the club’s transfer strategy.

He will now also take on overall responsibility for the men’s academy, medical, football operations, performance and analysis departments.
