BOXING: Caroline Dubois makes the first defence of her WBC lightweight title against Canadian Jessica Camara in Sheffield tonight. Former world and Olympic youth champion Dubois inherited the WBC belt in December after it was vacated by undisputed super-lightweight world champion Katie Taylor. Unbeaten Callum Simpson headlines the bill with a defence of his British and Commonwealth middleweight titles against Birmingham’s Steed Woodall.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: A full set of Super League fixtures begin with Durham Palatinates up against Caledonia at lunchtime before Cardiff Met face the Essex Rebels and table-toppers Oaklands Wolves put their 100 per cent record on the against Manchester in St Albans. Second-placed Sheffield host bottom club London tomorrow afternoon, Newcastle meet Nottingham and Durham visit Leicester Riders for their second game of the weekend.

MEN’S CRICKET: New Zealand take an unassailable 2-0 lead into tomorrow morning’s final leg of their three-match one-day series with Sri Lanka at Auckland’s Eden Park. Despite fielding a below full-strength team the Kiwis have chalked up two convincing wins after taking the first game by nine wickets and then romped to a 113 run victory earlier this week, despite Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana bagging a hat-trick.
