A STRIKE by London Underground station staff has been suspended after improved discussions with the company, their union TSSA says.
Hundreds of customer service managers responsible for running stations were due to stage their latest walkout on Wednesday in the dispute over the “Stations Changes” proposals.
London Underground’s plans carry potential changes to the terms and conditions, job role and location of customer service manager members, said the union.
TSSA general secretary Maryam Eslamdoust said: “Our customer service manager members have been clear all along that continued threats to their roles, locations, terms and conditions will not stand unchallenged.
“Their determination in this dispute has now delivered some progress and as a result the decision has been taken to suspend strike action on September 4.
“However, we remain in dispute and call on London Underground to respond positively and work constructively with us to reach a resolution which addresses our concerns.”
