NOT one for making traditional documentaries, film-maker Robert Greene (Actress) once again opts for an idiosyncratic and innovative take in producing a psychological docudrama which follows Kate Lyn Scheil as she prepares for her next acting role — that of Florida TV newscaster Christine Chubback, who killed herself live on air in 1974.
Her shocking story was the inspiration for the Hollywood classic Network, in which the protagonist was changed from a woman to a man, and the drama Christine which features in this year’s London Film Festival.
