SCOTTISH Health Secretary Humza Yousaf was accused of incompetence today for plunging hospital A&E services into “deadly freefall.”

Targets for treating urgent patients are in disarray, with thousands waiting for eight hours and even 12 hours to be seen, Scottish Labour says.

Public Health Scotland’s most recent data showed performance against the four-hour standard was at 64.2 per cent for the week ending October 2, falling far short of the SNP’s 95 per cent target.
