ISLINGTON NORTH has the most Your Party members of any constituency in the country.

A leaked breakdown of the new party’s membership by parliamentary seat puts Jeremy Corbyn’s constituency in top place with 405 members.

This is, however, less than 10 per cent of the 4,201 people in Islington North who signed up as supporters of the party after its initial launch by Mr Corbyn and MP Zarah Sultana.

Green-held Brighton Pavilion is in second place, with 380 Your Party members. There are 144 in Ms Sultana’s Coventry South seat.

The party has more than 55,000 members nationwide, as opposed to the 800,000-plus initial sign-ups. 

There are few seats where the party, bedevilled by factionalism and continuing internal controversies, has converted more than 10 per cent of those expressing an interest into members.

Its areas of strength appear to overlap heavily with places where the Green Party is already challenging Labour strongly, while local parties are much smaller in older industrial areas.
