US hits Yemen with another wave of air strikes, killing at least three people
Smoke rises from a location reportedly struck by US air strikes in Sanaa, Yemen, March 30, 2025

ANOTHER wave of US air strikes hit Yemen’s capital Sanaa today, killing at least three people and wounding four others, according to Yemeni authorities.

The attacks followed a night of bombing on Friday that appeared particularly intense compared to other days in the campaign that began on March 15.

The al-Masirah news channel aired footage of broken glass littering homes after the blast of the bombs.

The new campaign of air strikes — which the Yemenis say have killed at least 59 people — started after the Houthi-led Yemeni government threatened to target Israeli and US ships again over Israel blocking aid to the Gaza Strip.

The Yemenis have targeted over 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones, sinking two vessels and killing four sailors from November 2023 until January of this year.

On Sunday, a Yemeni spokesman claimed that its forces had  attacked the USS Harry S Truman aircraft carrier three times over the weekend.

Speaking on al-Masirah TV he said “our armed forces engaged in a battle with a group of enemy warships led by the US aircraft carrier Harry Truman three times in the Red Sea. The counteraction operation involved missile troops, unmanned aerial vehicles and naval forces that used several cruise missiles and drones.”
