WOMEN’S CRICKET: England face New Zealand in the first of their three-match one-day international series at Chester-le-Street tomorrow afternoon.

England won the reverse fixtures in New Zealand 10 weeks ago, enjoyed a 2-0 series win against Pakistan at the start of the domestic season and are currently second behind world champions Australia in the International Cricket Conference rankings, four places ahead of the White Ferns.

SPEEDWAY: Rohan Tungate top-scored with 14+1 points and Adam Ellis bagged 10+1 as King’s Lynn won 47-43 at Birmingham on Monday evening to move off the bottom of the Premiership for the first time since their two point deduction.
